Mani Monday – St Patrick’s Day

I’ve decided to run with another upcoming ‘holiday’ and do a St. Patrick’s day theme for my nails this week. As always the designs are really simple, I did a mix match of designs but if you want you could just do a ring finger pattern, or just choose one of the patterns for all of your nails – whatever! Customize and make it your own. Enjoy!

What you will need for all of these patterns are a few different shades of green, glitter, white and gold nail polish and a striping nail art brush. The brushes I use are MASH nail art brushes which are relatively inexpensive and they have a range of shapes and sizes if you are looking for some.

So start by painting a base coat to protect your natural nail I like to use my Sally Hansen – Double Duty Base and Top Coat.

Sally Hansen Base and Top Coat

I started by painting all my nails two coats of my Sally Hansen Hard as Nails – Limestone #620

Starting on my thumb using taking my brush with some Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear – White On #300 I painted a little heart shape like so;

Repeat this 3-4 times depending on if you want a three or a four leaf clover! Making the hearts in a circle. I have pretty small nail beds so I just did three. Then finish it with a little stalk.

On my index finger I first gave myself a french tip using my Zoya – Ivanka then I did another smaller 3 leaf clover using the same method as above but I outlined the shape with my Barry M Foil Effects – #321 Gold

For my middle finger about a third of the way down I painted a thick black line, allowed it to dry and the painted a gold square in the middle of the line and it looks like a little leprechaun jacket is on my nail – this is probably my favorite design! So quick and easy too.

The ring finger I kept very simple and just painted my Nicole OPI – Brilliant Idea glitter polish over it for a bit of St Patrick Days Glitz. Finally on the little finger I did a little tartan pattern painting two white stripes vertically and two green stripes horizontally.

That’s the St Patrick’s Day manicure finished! Make sure to complete the look by painting a nice top coat on to protect the design.
