Monthly Subscription – Ipsy Glam Bag October

So I know I only just posted my September Ipsy Glam Bag, but rather than be late again I thought I would share my October Glam Bag with you. Plus I am pretty excited about the things I got…

First off how nice is the little makeup bag I got this time?! I have been using it to store my makeup sharpeners, eyelash curlers and other tools and I LOVE it.

Coastal Scents Medium Shadow Brush – I love the fact I got a makeup brush, I’ve never received a brush before in a monthly subscription and this was such a nice treat. If like me you are sometimes lazy and can’t be bothered to clean your brushes all the time, it is good to have a large collection that way you can rotate, so an extra brush is always welcomed eagerly into my makeup family! The actual quality of the brush does feel a little cheap, the bristles feel like it would be a good brush for blending rather than eyeshadow application and it is a good size.

LA Fresh Oil Free Face Cleansing Wipes – Absolutely LOVE these wipes I have talked about them before here and I am always happy to get some more because I go through them fast. Also just briefly mentioning the sample sizes you get in the Ipsy Glam Bag compared to other bags – usually you will receive one wipe in one of those little foil packs and with this Ipsy bag I received a small regular packet of 10 wipes.

Style Sexy Hair Spray Clay – I have wanted to try some of their products for a very long time, regularly picking it up and putting it back at Target! At around $20.00 a bottle their products don’t come cheap and I could never justify spending it. So I am very happy that I can now give this a go and see what I think, although I would have prefered the Hairspray to try. I am going to use this as an aid to give me more volume at my roots!

Zoya Nail Polish in Mason – Love Zoya, this colour is a gorgeous metallic almost holographic burgundy red that looks different in every light. Great formula and application and is probably going to be a go to colour this autumn for me.

Bella Terra Mineral Shimmer in Navy – I must admit I am a little afraid of loose pigments and own very few. I am never sure how to work with them and always make such a mess whenever I attempt to use them that I steer clear. But the colour of this is just beautiful and its selling point is it can be used as 8 different things! How amazing is that? Taken from the Bella Terra website, here is a list of what these pigments can be used for:

    • Creamy Shadow – moisten the brush to create richer, more intense eye color that doesn’t crease.
    • Matte Shadow – mix the Shimmer with Bella Terra’s Eye Primer for a matte shadow look.
    • Eyeliner – wet the tip of an eye liner brush and apply around the lash line for high-intensity eye definition.
    • Lip Color – mix any of our Shimmers with lip balm or lip gloss to create intense lip color.
    • Nail Polish – add to clear nail polish for a unique nail color that matches your eye shadow.
    • Body Glitter – mix with body lotion to create an all-over body shimmer.
    • Mascara – dip clear-color mascara or Bella Terra’s Mascara Primer brush into the Shimmer for amazing lash colors.
    • Hair Streaks – mix a small amount of Shimmer with hair gel and apply to a strand of hair for a funky, streaked look that easily washes off later.

Now I’m pretty sure I won’t be using it for everything it says it can do, but I am still pretty excited to have such a versatile piece in my makeup collection and I am looking forward to putting it to the test!
